JD MUSIC PROMOTION TOGETHER WITH KILLING FOR COMPANY ARE TO HONOUR STUART CABLE WITH BIRTHDAY RELEASE

Stuart Cable’s 46th birthday is to be honoured with the release of the track ‘Surrender’, from Killing For Company’s debut album ‘Lost Art of Deception’. The album was due to be released the week of Stuart’s passing and, out of respect, the band pulled the album’s release. The tracks have therefore never been properly released, only being heard via the band’s SoundCloud.

South Wales based music promoters, JD Music, who have already worked with Killing for

Company on the promotion of their track ‘We Don’t Need To Know’ from forthcoming album ‘Hopes, Dreams and Crushing Defeats’, approached the band about honouring Stuart and the music he had made shortly before his death.

The JD team consists of Jayne and Darran, Radio Plugger/Promoter and Consultant Advisor respectively, both of whom have connections with Stuart and actually met at Stuart’s funeral.

Jayne said “I wanted to do something to honour Stuart’s birthday, honour the great music he made with Killing For Company which people have never got to hear and also honour the fact that he did so much for charity. So with all of that in mind, I asked the band about releasing ‘Surrender’ from the album they made with Stuart and donating any proceeds from the sale of the track to Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice, which of course they were very agreeable to”.

The track will be available to download on Stuart’s birthday, May 19th, and as well as being able to download the track, there are also limited edition CDs. Jayne approached Caerphilly company Dischromatics Ltd, to enquire about pressing CDs of the track. The company very kindly offered 50 full colour CDs as a gift towards the fundraising. As well as ‘Surrender’, a second track from the album ‘Lost Art of Deception, ‘Born Yesterday’, also features on the limited edition CD.

Jayne asked long time Killing for Company fan Sara Williams if she would like to choose the second track. Sara, who has survived cancer three times and has a blog sarasfightback.blogspot.com, said she was honoured to be asked and admitted that it was “difficult to choose because the whole album is fantastic”. The CD will be available to purchase via JD Music Promotion. Please check their website www.jdmusicpromo.com for details.
